| The
Old Shippon offers self-catering accommodation in North Devon and sleeps up to 4
people in one double and one twin room. |
Originally a cow shed, it is
the oldest part of the house being several hundred years old. Over the last few years, it
has been lovingly restored by Richard and now boasts double glazing, central heating, a
wood burner too for those who enjoy an open fire, a microwave, an electric cooker, a
fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, a TV and dvd player. |
The large open plan living room and kitchen are on
the first floor and enjoy beautiful countryside views. |
Although attached to Beara Farmhouse, The Old Shippon has its own
entrance - an archway through which the cows would enter, and is fully self-contained.
|
|
Downstairs you will find one double
bedroom and one twin, both with beamed ceilings and latch doors. There is also a bathroom
with shower. |
|
On the first floor, there is a well-equiped kitchen and a large open-plan
living room, again, both with beamed ceilings. There is plenty of natural light and
the interior walls are adorned with old farming implements to add to the character feel of
the Shippon. |
