| The
Old Shippon and Beara Farmhouse are located one and a half miles
from the village of Buckland Brewer. There is a post office in the village, a butchers'
and a pub - The Coach and Horses - well-known locally for its good food.
The market towns of Bideford and Torrington are approximately 5 and 9 miles
distant. Bideford, the larger of the two, has supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, chemists
and most things you would expect to find in a medium sized town. Torrington is home to Dartington Crystal and
Rosemoor Gardens.
The famous hillside
village of Clovelly is 8 miles away.
Surfers may like to visit Westward
Ho! or Croyde and for walkers Exmoor, the South West Coastal Path and The Tarka Trail are
nearby and North Devon has many Areas
of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
